The International Women Day is celebrated at KVK, Ganjam-I on dt. 08.03.2022. This year the theme for International Women Day is “Empowering women farmers with skill and knowledge”. A training –cum-awareness programme is conducted with 40 nos of farm women under the chairmanship of Senior Scientist & Head. The Child Development Project Officer (ICDS) attended the programme and remarked on Gender equality at family Level, The Sub-divisional Veterinary Officer addressed to farm women about role of animal husbandry and family food nutrition security. The Senior Scientist & Head, KVK, Ganjam-I has given emphasis on nutrition & women health. The Scientist (Home Science) has given importance on gender equality & women empowerment for sustainable future, SMS(Agronomy) also explained on importance on women in agriculture. 2 nos of progressive farm women also shared their experience on gender inequality & their impact on family.
