The World Pulses Day is celebrated at KVK, Ganjam-I on dt. 10.02.2022 with the purpose to raise awareness about importance of pulses towards achieving the target by 2030. Agenda for sustainable development set by UN. This programme also highlighted the need for increase the access to those crops among under privileged section of farming community. This year the theme of World Pulses Day is “Pulses to empower youth in achieving sustainable agrifood situation”. Pulses are very crucial in term of food security, nutritional values and environmental benefits. With context this programme organised at KVK, Ganjam-I campus with awareness campaign & a live session of discussion. Total 50 numbers of participants including farmers & farm women participated in the programme. On this occasion the Head of our KVK emphasised the need of production, distribution & value addition of different pulses for sustainable empowerment & development of farming community.
