The World Food Day was celebrated on dt. 16.10.2021 by Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Ganjam-I under the chairmanship of Senior Scientist & Head (SS&H) of KVK, Ganjam-I. In this context a meeting was arranged at KVK Training Hall, Bhanjanagar. Total 50 farmers & farm women were participated in the meeting. The SS&H in his speech aware the farmers regarding storage of agricultural produce so that loss can be checked. The Agronomist of KVK elaborated how the produces are losses at the time of harvest due to our negligence and taught the measures how to protect this. The Scientist, Plant Protection of KVK discussed about the loss of food grains due to insect & pest for inappropriate storage. He taught different scientific techniques during storage to avoid the destroy of food grains also aware the farmers regarding climate resilient technology & varieties. The Scientist (Home Science) emphasis on preparation of nutritional food from locally available surplus food crops. In the end of the meeting vote of thanks given by Agriculture Extension Scientist .
